Shine designed and animated the main title sequence for Netflix’s Best of the Best, creating a nostalgic visual journey through the lifelong friendship of the film’s two central characters.

Drawing on footage of the characters growing up together, Shine developed a series of visual treatments that evoke the look and feel of personal home movies, early digital video, and archival footage. Spanning the years 2012 through 2026, the sequence captures the evolution of their friendship through changing formats, textures, and visual styles, reflecting the way memories are recorded and preserved over time.

Directed by Lena Khan, written by Hasan Minhaj and Prashanth Venkataramanujam, and starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Best of the Best reached the number one spot on Netflix’s movie chart.

In addition to the main title sequence, Shine designed graphics featured throughout the film.
